Which markets and securities are covered by Atom?
Atom offers real-time coverage of stocks traded on the US stock exchanges. We will be adding coverage of international markets and other assets classes in the near future so please stay tuned.
Does Atom offer trading services?
No, Atom is an investment research platform and does not offer trading.
How does Atom keep its users' sensitive financial information secure?
All sensitive data is encrypted and anonymized before we store it on our servers. Any portfolio data on our servers uses multiple layers of encryption and anonymization so that it is unidentifiable to a specific account or user.
How often is my portfolio refreshed?
All US stocks follow real time prices. Share counts and non-US stocks are updated daily as Plaid syncs directly with your financial institutions. For this reason, any new trades or cash deposits/withdrawals should appear on Atom the following business day.
I am unable to link my portfolio through Plaid. Is there a workaround for this?
Integration with various financial institutions is an extremely complex process due to security and technical differences between the way each institution interfaces with partners. We have partnered with Plaid, one of the premier secure connection providers, as they have built a business around building these connections with thousands of institutions. They have a large team of engineers working to build secure and reliable connections with tens of thousands of institutions.
Our team is constantly working with Plaid to ensure that this works as smoothly as possible for as many institutions as possible. While we would love for all of our connections to work perfectly all the time, unfortunately, many of the issues that appear happen on the specific partner institution’s end, and there is not much we can do on our side. When this happens, our team proactively reaches out to our partners at Plaid about the issue, and stays in communication with them as they work to resolve it. My portfolio is showing incomplete or incorrect data.
The accuracy and completeness of the data we receive can vary by institution, depending on their specific infrastructure. If you believe there is an issue with the data you are receiving, please let us know by leaving us feedback in our web or mobile app.
